IAOBA - Rail Splitter Alpaca ShowGeneral InformationVendor Information The Show will be held in the quaint Exposition Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Constructed in 1894, the building features iron framing, brick walls and segments arched windows. This historic structure is the perfect venue for you to market your products! Attendees of alpaca shows include alpaca owners, prospective proprietors, animal enthusiasts, fiber artists, and the public at large. In addition, admission is free! Halter Show This is an AOA certified show and will strictly follow all rules in the most current Show Division Handbook plus all addendums. All classes will be combined or divided according to the AOA rules. Halter registration fee is $50.00 per animal. Health RegulationsAll animals brought to the venue are required to have a general health certificate from your vet within 30 days of the last day of the show. The following information must be indicated on the CVI:
Bring a copy of your CVI for the Show Superintendent to keep with their show records. Direct inquiries to: Elizabeth Bernard (618)231-6007 Stalling and Bedding Information Stalling is based on a first come first served basis with Preferred Stalling provided to Sponsors, based on sponsorship level and entry date. Requesting group stalling with other farms may result in the adjustment of sponsorship placement. Stalls are 10 X 10 on concrete floor and cost $160.00 each. Electricity is included. There is no limit on the number of stalls per farm, but only one stall may be used for a farm display with a limit of three alpacas per stall including cria. If you would like to have an additional stall next to or near your alpaca stalls to use for a farm store vendor space, please make that request at time of registration. The discounted rate of $125 is available and is limited to ONE vendor stall per farm. Fire code prohibits fans, chairs, supplies, etc. in the aisles. You will be asked to move items if not found in compliance. One bag of bedding will be provided per stall. We suggest placing plastic mats over this bedding. Please see Barn Manager for additional bedding purchase. This show uses pellet bedding so please plan accordingly. If you wish to share stalls with another farm BOTH farms must make this request during online registration. No changes are allowed at check-in. Have two copies of your CVI with microchip and ARI numbers with you at check in. If you are a major sponsor, all color compliance and check in is completed in your pen. Important note regarding Microchip Numbers: Due to various microchip manufacturers, we are asking that if you have a reader other than the standard Avid universal reader, please bring that with you. If the chip cannot be read with our universal reader, and you do not have one available, you will be required to have the alpaca chipped and will pay the appropriate fee.
